The islands of New Zealand, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, are known for their leading farmers, pristine land and spectacular landscapes. Ocean Beef, premium grain-fed beef, is the unique product of that exceptional environment; the best grass, the best grains and fresh sea air.
Southern Alps
For the first 18 months, Angus cattle graze the lush, nutrient-rich pastures of New Zealand. An environment that guarantees top quality beef. With free range, they benefit from the year-round temperate climate that makes growing conditions ideal. The animals live in an environment that guarantees beef of the highest quality. The cattle are kept calm, clean, dry and, above all, comfortable. They have an abundant supply of drinking water drawn from deep underground and fed by snow melt on the Southern Alps.

High quality grains
After 18 months, steers are hand selected for Ocean Beef using a strict quality and safety program to ensure that only the best animals are chosen. They are moved to Wakanui Beach Farm on the coast of the South Island, where they are fattened for 120 days under ideal conditions. They are fed a high-quality GMO-free grain diet (supplied by local farms). Ranchers on horseback check their health and well-being every day. The cattle grow into healthy adults in this natural environment. The animals receive absolutely no growth hormones or preventative antibiotics. After grass feeding, the cattle are ready to be transported to the slaughterhouse. It is essential to keep the distance to a minimum so that the animals are not stressed. The slaughterhouse is only 8 kilometers from Wakanui Beach Farm. This contributes to the welfare of the animals and the quality of Ocean Beef.
